There are three Teaching Labs at Goldey-Beacom College, Room 001, Room 007, and Room 012. All Teaching Labs are located on the Ground Floor of the Fulmer Annex. All labs have 45 computers.

The only major difference is that Room 012 has a projector, while Rooms 001 and 007 do not. All labs have LAN School installed on the instructor computer at the podium, which is software that enables the instructor to share his or her screen with all students at once.

Criteria for Booking a Teaching Lab:

  1. The instructor plans to demonstrate a concept / skill that requires a computer to do so and all students must practice/follow-along with the instructor during the demonstration, and/or
  2. Students are completing independent or partner work during a scheduled class session where the majority* of the students in the class must have his or her own computer to complete the required work.
  3. Only book time you intend to actually use. Bookings are available up until 24 hours prior to the time you would like to book.

*If your students could or are working in small groups, sharing a computer, consider using the Hirons Library & Learning Center (HLLC). There are approximately 40 computers available to students, however, they are first come, first serve. The same software is installed on the computers in both locations.
